whoa...i took 2 weeks off from this...my bad

ok so a situation called life happened...and its busy as all hell

monday, wednesday, and friday are busiest days for me this semester...and no i'm not bitching and moaning about it...chill

the weather here in northeastern ohio has been pretty shitty lately. snow, snow, snow...harsh wind, snow, and more snow. typical i suppose?

lately i've been getting frustrated with my schedule because I have to workout at the most inconvenient times, but i gotta get it in.

last night was pushups at 11pm...after a long day and a few long, drawn out rehearsals :( managed to get 400 pushups in 25 mins before heading off to bed...i woke up this morning thinking i didnt workout, then 2pm came, and along with it came the soreness in the shoulders,chest, and triceps..wooo progress!

the routine is looking like this...tues/thurs/sat/sun i can workout...either in my room via my dumbells and perfect pushups or going to the gym to do the assorted exercises i do.

along with the perfect pushup came this workout chart...called a 2 minute drill...based on your max reps you can do in 1 setting you do 3 sets ranging in reps and must be done in 2 minutes...rest a little....do 3 sets of wide grip in 2 minutes, and rest...then the final set of close grip (the hardest ones for me as of now) 3 sets in 2 minutes...that shit burns...a lot

30-16-12 are the repetions...FML

oh yeah...if you see Friday within the next few hours...tell it to come faster...

'the situation'

Oops, i didnt get a chance to post a blog yesterday...i went our last night and didnt get back til late...my bad

anyways, so winter term is basically over now...my sleep schedule is now on a normal set, and i used iCal to map out my life for the next semester, it doesn't seem as bad as last semester since i wont have a weekly trombone quartet that wants to meet a few times a week. i have big orchestra, brass quintet, and a low brass section to work on excerpts which will be awesome, seeing as i have my junior jury in may and its excerpts so the reps are much needed and appreciated. i'm supposed to be in wind ensemble, but i now realize i have a class conflict with theory, so i sent an email trying to clear it up...plus i'm only playing on 2 pieces this concert block so it shouldnt be a huge headache for them.

lets see what else is going on...i went out to eat with some friends yesterday at olive garden...then went to duquesne to chill...it was a good time...

thats about it...i'll post another before bed...

quality brother and sister time

wednesday = rest day from working out...abs, and everything from the waist up are sore as all hell...job well done!

did the usual...wake up...ate while watching tv...warmed up/practiced for a lil while before taking a nap.

later in the day i went to the mall with my sister. i needed/wanted to get out of the house, it gets boring and i had some serious cabin fever goin on. so we went to the mall, then went out to eat, and went back to la roche to hang out with sisters boyfriend and roommate. overall it was a very good night, i had a lot of fun. i feel like i have a better relationship with my sister since we are getting older. it seemed weird in the past, but i think it is because we are only 14 months apart. i have a great sister...and i'm lucky that she puts up with my bullshit lol...if youre reading this michelle, you're awesome.

well...its 2am...and i should be asleep since i'm waking up at 930am...

Oatmeal is awesome

next week at this time the first day of 2nd semester would have begin...interesting how winter term flew by, must have been having fun.

i'm re-adjusting my internal clock so when i have to wake up at 9am it wont be like hell on earth. so i woke up at 930 today, made some oatmeal and just hung out. didnt see the new neighbors today, but i have a feeling we'll be seeing them more frequently in the not so far future.

i made oatmeal with raisins for my breakfast, it has been a while since i've had it and damn, it was good lol. warmed up a bit later than i wanted, but whatever...

was talking to my good friend alex, from high school, we both love working out and being 'jacked black guys' haha...we were talking about pushups and he found this website for people who want to do 100 pushups, something we both could do in a few minutes, but he was talkin about doin 100 pushups in a row. it gave me another goal i want to reach by spring break; 100 consecutive pushups in 1 setting. sounds easy, some might say...then YOU try it right now...go ahead, i'll wait...

instead of bench presses today i wanted to see how many pushups i could do... ready-set-go... i cranked out as many as i could...goal was around 80...and i did 75...not too shabby, but there is room for improvement. there are a few ways of approaching this...every workout day i have i'll add 100 pushups or so...at the end of the workout...1 set of max then another set of however many are left, out of 100...we'll see how it goes


thats all for now...i'm going to do more pushups
